A contemporary sofa, understated yet statement-making, Offset is the result of research into ‘balance’ by Norm Architects. The studio wanted to create a sofa as simply as possible while embracing a set of paradoxes: making it substantial yet delicate in appearance, architectural yet inviting and homey. In the studio, the designers experimented with offsetting – playing with proportions, narrow armrests versus a thick generous seat, supported by four stubby metal legs. The clean-lined boxy shape is inspired by minimalist art, gently softened for a welcoming expression and maximised for comfort.
About Norm Architects
Norm Architects was founded in 2008 by Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, later joined by Linda Korndal. Based in the heart of Copenhagen, the award-winning studio works in the fields of industrial design, residential architecture, commercial interiors, photography and art direction. Located on one of the city’s oldest streets, the practice takes pride in respecting its context, building on the traditions of Scandinavian design, of timeless aesthetics and natural materials.
By Norm Architects
Designed by Norm Architects, the Harbour Chair is a clean and elegant chair, suitable for a wide range of settings and environments.
Designed specifically for the combined office, showroom, café and co-working space, Menu Space, the harbour chair successfully suits a wide range of purposes – at home, at the office, in restaurants and beyond. With an armrest bending backward, and the backrest being slightly higher than on most chairs, the versatile chair provides comfort and support, while also showcasing a clean and elegant design.
The chair sports organic shapes and an overall slim and clean appearance.
The chair came to life during the design process for the newly opened Menu Space, located in the upcoming area around Copenhagen’s northern harbour, designed to change and adapt at a moment’s notice – for clients, friends or visitors. It combines an office, showroom, café, co-working and event space, sporting generally soft and clean interiors, making the co-working space feel like home. The harbour chair meets the needs of all the space’s purposes.
The harbour chair is produced with a steel or wood base, with textile or leather upholstering, and is available in various colours.

Bolster Sofa Group Club Chair
Inviting, versatile, and thoughtfully scaled, the Bolster Sofa Group delivers the support necessary for upright sitting, as well as the plush comfort desired for lounging postures. Naming the series after bolster cushions—long, supportive, horizontal pillows—BassamFellows used the concept of layers to achieve this balance. Within the seat, multiple types of foam offer exceptional support. On the seat, a long, slim top cushion adds softness. Thick back pillows constructed of foam and fiber allow for a supportive back sit; oversized arm cushions double as comfortable headrests for lying down.
